About the Artist
My name is Lea Armstrong, and I am a fine artist who recently rekindled my passion for painting after putting my career on hold to raise a family. Art has always been at the heart of my journey—from my education at Southampton College of LIU, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, to my early days as a staff photographer for a Long Island newspaper.
Before stepping away from my professional life, I had a successful career in advertising, working at several prestigious New York agencies. While those years shaped my creative perspective, my deepest fulfillment has always come from painting. Now, with renewed focus, I explore landscapes, animals, and abstract art, bringing fresh vision and experience to my work.

A longtime resident of New Jersey, I recently moved to Siler City, North Carolina, where I live with my husband of 40 years. Together, we have three grown children and a growing family, with five grandchildren.
When I’m not painting, I enjoy photography, gardening, listening to true crime podcasts, and reading—all of which inspire my artistic process. My work is a reflection of the places I’ve lived, the moments I’ve cherished, and the ever-evolving journey of creativity.
